Our "small," family-owned business is anything but small. We started in a garage in Avon, NY, and have since grown to just over 100 employees. The Featured Media team includes over 20 customer service & consultants ready to answer all of your questions, 12 members in our creative department working hard to make your vision come to life, 15 press workers to print on our industrial printers, a handful of talented freelancers, and countless connections all working with you in mind.
Featured Media has been helping local businesses connect with local communities since 1948, when Roger and Jane Harrison started publishing a weekly shopping guide from a garage in Avon, New York. What began as a small family operation grew steadily over the years as more advertisers, readers, and communities came on board. Through every move, expansion, and change in technology, one thing stayed the same: a commitment to producing quality local publications and supporting the businesses that make our communities thrive.
Today, Featured Media is home to several well-known publications across Western and Central New York, including the Genesee Valley Penny Saver, Southern Tier Shopper, Lake Country Penny Saver, and Westside News. Together, these publications reach hundreds of thousands of readers each month with local news, community stories, events, classifieds, and advertising.
